His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al Thani

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdulla bin Ali bin Saud Al Thani holds the position of advisor at the Amiri Diwan. In April 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Media City. His Excellency also holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Executive Committee at Qatar University, in addition to being Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Qatar Leadership Centre.
His Excellency held several positions at Qatar Foundation, including Vice President for Education Affairs at the Foundation for 10 years, and President of Hamad Bin Khalifa University during its first five years. Among the initiatives he founded and chaired was the World Innovation Summit in Education (WISE), which is a leading global forum for thinking and practice for innovators in the education sector.
His Excellency holds several other positions, including membership in the Board of Directors of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., permanent membership in the Board of Advisors at the Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Polic, Houston, USA, membership in the International Advisory Council at the American University of Beirut, in addition to being Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. His Excellency obtained a doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Southampton United Kingdom, after obtaining a graduate degree from the University of Colorado in the United States and a bachelor’s degree from Qatar University, where he worked as a faculty member in the Engineering Department.
Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Albinali

General Manager

Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Khalifa AlBinali is currently the General Manager of Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) and has more than 18 years of experience in the field of human capital development. His journey with Qatar Leadership Centre began a decade ago as Program Director, and he subsequently rose to the position of Director of Administration and Finance prior to his current position.
Mr. AlBinali began his career in 2006 with Qatar National Bank, then moved to Qatar Foundation and during this period he participated in organizing Qatar Career Fair as Head of Events and Activities.
Later, he served as a senior advisor at the Supreme Education Council of Qatar. In this capacity, he led and supervised the implementation of the e-learning initiative, which was successfully adopted in more than 42 schools, covering education levels from kindergarten to secondary education.
As part of his activity in community participation, he assumed the duties of Chairman of the Trustees of Ibn Khaldoun Preparatory School for Boys for a period of four years, and currently holds the position of member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Academy for five years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in Human Resources Management, and minoring in African American Studies, which he obtained from Eastern Washington University in 2006.
